BIO
Ted Teo is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School, where he teaches and researches topics within and at the intersection of banking and financial technology. His work focuses on the evolving dynamics of the banking industry, including the strategic and practical applications of technology in banking and finance.
In addition to his academic role, Ted serves as the Singapore Chief Representative of East West Bank, a U.S. commercial bank headquartered in California, where he supports the bank's strategy, clients, and network in ASEAN.
Ted previously held senior leadership positions, including Managing Director at Citigroup's Institutional Client Group, where he oversaw regional corporate banking, investment banking, and private banking businesses across Asia. He was also Managing Director at Capital Asia Partners, a corporate finance advisory firm.
With over two decades of experience spanning banking, corporate advisory, and commercial businesses, Ted brings unique industry insights and practical perspectives to the classroom, enriching student learning with real-world applications.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from NUS and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Ted is a full member of the Singapore Fund Directors Association.
