Dr Jerrald Lau is a Research Fellow at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. He holds a joint appointment with the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health.

Jerrald has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications. His interests currently revolve around the implementation of telemedicine and new models of care in post-surgical and oncological health services delivery, as well as improving cancer screening follow-up among average risk Singaporeans. Jerrald's other work includes understanding the longitudinal impact of colorectal cancer on the quality-of-life of patients and their spouses, with a focus on young-onset adults. Outside of the colorectal arena, Jerrald is a Senior Collaborator in the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation's Global Burden of Disease (GBD) Study. In this capacity, he has contributed to high profile publications on the burden of cancer, cardiovascular disease, and mental disorders in ASEAN, among others.

Jerrald received his Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) from James Cook University. He went on to attain his Master of Public Health and Doctor of Philosophy from the National University of Singapore, where he was a recipient of the Saw Swee Hock MPH Scholarship as well as the NUS Medicine Post-Doctoral Fellowship.

Jerrald is a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health, and is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and the Society of Behavioural Health, Singapore. An Associate Editor of JMIR Cancer, Jerrald is also an Editorial Board member with Scientific Reports and Discover Oncology. He actively peer reviews for a range of journals within the oncology, digital health and behavioural science domains.
