Jonathan Frome is a Senior Lecturer at NUS College. He received his BA (Hons) in Philosophy from Amherst College and his PhD in Communication Arts (Film Studies) from University of Wisconsin, Madison. His primary research interest is emotional responses to media, with particular interest in the relationship between scientific and philosophical approaches to emotion research. He has also published and presented papers on several related topics, including documentary film, game studies, and animation. Prior to joining NUS College, he taught at Lingnan University in Hong Kong and University of Texas at Dallas.

Senior Lecturer Frome has taught courses on a wide variety of topics, including film history, film theory, media analysis, videogame studies, documentary film, argumentative and expository writing, public speaking, and evolutionary psychology.
