TEACHING INTERESTS
I teach undergraduate and graduate courses centered on survey methods, quantitative data literacy, and community based public health research. My teaching focuses on helping students design and field surveys, interpret population health datasets, apply statistical tools in R and Stata, and critically evaluate how data informs public health practice. I emphasize clear, reproducible analytic workflows and the ability to translate quantitative findings for different stakeholders, from community partners to policymakers. My role in Student Life complements this by grounding my teaching in inclusive, engaged learning. I aim to build students’ confidence with data, support collaborative problem solving, and connect methodological training to real world challenges in public health research, communication, and intervention design.
