BIO
I am an environmental economist. I study how the environmental costs of economic activity cross borders, supply chains, and natural media, and who ultimately bears them. Combining satellite data, microdata, and causal methods, my work spans three lines: how trade, finance, and infrastructure relocate environmental burdens across regions; how pollution and environmental shocks transmit through geographic and network structure to downstream, downwind, and connected communities; and how enforcement, information, and incentives determine whether these harms are contained.
