BIO
Dr Betty Tsai is an adjunct faculty member at NUS Business School, where she teaches Digital and AI Transformation Strategy at the postgraduate level. Her work sits at the intersection of technology, talent, and organisational change, drawing on a career that spans corporate R&D, global technology companies, national AI policy, and higher education.
She began her career as a research scientist at Procter & Gamble, where she pioneered skincare technologies and was recognised in the Asian Scientist 100. She then moved into technology and talent development at Google's Asia Pacific headquarters, scaling programmes across multiple markets. Most recently, she served as Head of AI Innovation at AI Singapore (AISG), leading national AI talent programmes, and contributed to global AI adoption as a contributing member of the Global Partnership on AI (GPAI).
Dr Tsai holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS), with research focused on systems optimisation and mathematical modelling. She brings that analytical rigour into the classroom, helping students understand not only what digital and innovation strategy requires, but how to lead the organisational change that makes it real.
She currently serves on the Industrial Advisory Committee of the NUS Engineering Science Programme and has previously held leadership roles at the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Human Capital Committee and the Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) Digital and Technology Committee.
