Dr Zhang Jinghua is a nursing researcher and educator specialising in chronic disease management, ageing, and precision health. She received her PhD from the National University of Singapore and works across areas including nursing science, endocrinology, gerontology, and implementation science.

Her work centres on improving outcomes in middle-aged and older adults with type 2 diabetes through predictive modelling, cognitive risk stratification, and exercise-based interventions. She has contributed to studies on combined aerobic and resistance exercise, as well as the development of a practical cognitive risk stratification score for clinical use. Her research takes a translational perspective, incorporating evidence synthesis, epidemiological studies, and intervention development to support the application of research findings in real-world healthcare settings.

In addition to her research, Dr Zhang is involved in undergraduate teaching, focusing on research methods and evidence-based practice. She emphasises the integration of theory and clinical application, supporting students in developing critical thinking and informed clinical decision-making.

She has received several recognitions, including the Young Investigator Award at the NUHS Scientific and Innovation Summit 2024 and Best Oral Presentation at the 15th International Nursing Conference and East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholars (EAFONS) 2025.
