BIO
Jimmyn Parc is a Visiting Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Prior to joining NUS, he was an Associate Professor at the University of Malaya, Malaysia, and a Visiting Lecturer at Sciences Po Paris, France. He holds dual Ph.D. degrees: one in International Studies (with a specialization in international business and strategy) from the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS), Seoul National University, and another in Economic History from the University of Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV), France.
His research explores the evolution of the cultural and creative industries in Asia and Europe—including film, television dramas, and popular music—from the perspectives of international business, political economy, and trade. He is particularly interested in how these industries adapt to globalization, changing regulatory environments, and the opportunities and challenges brought about by technological advancement.
