I am a student of human pasts. I aspire to gain insights into these pasts in its multiple contexts - ranging from the subconscious to the posthuman and more. Thus far, I have focused my attention on depicting the intersections between a few nineteenth century writers who wrote in Malay in imperial contexts in and around the straits of Malacca.
