A/Prof Caroline Lee obtained her PhD in Genetics from Baylor College of Medicine and did her postdoctoral training with Michael Gottesman at the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health (NCI/NIH). She returned to Singapore to become a faculty at the National University of Singapore with concurrent appointments as Assoc Professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School as well as Principal Investigator at the National Cancer Centre. She is currently the Vice Dean (Outreach and Admissions) at the NUS Graduate School and is in the Admissions Committee at Duke-NUS Medical School. Her research endeavors revolve around functional genomics of hepatocellular cancer, population and pharmaco-genomics, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies to explore disease processes, biomarker discovery, diagnostics, and metagenomics. She possesses a keen interest in leveraging big data analyses and artificial intelligence to predict disease patterns and optimize drug responses. She has more than 100 publications with several reviews and opinion articles.
