Lou Antolihao specializes in comparative-historical sociology, sociology of development, sports studies, and postcolonial theory. He received his PhD in sociology from the National University of Singapore and has previously held academic and visiting appointments in the Philippines (Ateneo de Manila University), Japan (Kyoto University), Singapore (ISEAS-Yusuf Izhak Institute), and Germany (Georg-August University, Goettingen).
