I am a Sociology-trained, decolonial and feminist, migration scholar-educator. I currently teach at NUS College, the honours college of the National University of Singapore. From 2017, I worked as a Postdoctoral, and then a Research Fellow at the Asia Research Institute’s (ARI) Migration Cluster (now renamed the Migration and Mobilities Cluster). I remain an Associate there. My mixed qualitative methods and multi-sited research work is situated within the Asia-Pacific (Southeast Asia, India, and Australia) context. I was most recently a Global Exchange Fellow at Toronto Metropolitan University’s Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) in Migration and Integration, and a Research Fellow at Lund University’s Department of Sociology and Gender Division. I previously taught at Yale-NUS College.
